Privacy Commitment

The GhostPort application is designed to be completely transparent and respectful of your system's security. We firmly believe that system monitoring utilities should never be a vector for data leaks or telemetry. Consequently, no process information, network sockets list, IP addresses, or metadata are ever collected or transmitted outside your computer.

Local and Transient In-Memory Processing

GhostPort analyzes the state of your network sockets by querying the native UNIX APIs of macOS locally at regular intervals. All retrieved data (port numbers, protocols, PIDs, parent application bundle paths, icons) are processed transiently in random access memory (RAM) for display purposes. Nothing is written to your Mac's storage disk, and no history tracking database is created.

Network Connections and System Access

GhostPort does not request any outgoing or incoming network access permissions (no internet requests are made). To terminate administrative processes (root), the application invokes macOS's secure privilege escalation mechanisms (`sudo` or `AuthorizationExecuteWithPrivileges`). Your administrator password is never recorded by the application.

No Trackers and No Third-Party Analytics

GhostPort does not integrate any analytics SDKs, crash report collectors, or advertising tracking frameworks. We have no way of knowing how or when you run the app.
